Cheryl has been painting for over 20 years, and has
explored many different types of mediums.
Originally painting with watercolors for
many years, she then experimented with colored pencil,
acrylics and oilbars. She supplemented her natural
ability with instructional courses.
After taking several years off to raise her 3 boys she
returned to her passion for painting and now paints
exclusively with oils.
Having a love for photography as well, she is able
to capture a subject, which she can then paint.
Landscapes, seascapes, wildlife as well as her family
are many of the subjects she loves to paint.
Although subject is important, she is mostly attracted
to the composition, light, color and contrast in her work
and visualizes the finished painting before it is even started.
