Roxanne specializes in colored pencils, colored pencils with a base of watercolor, and in oils. Her unique contemporary style is infused with bright colors and light and when she designs, she strives to create an illusion of space and movement.
"For me, the joy of creating a balanced design with bright colors is energizing. Sometimes, color only will inspire me to create a piece of art. Some of my paintings are very detailed as opposed to some that are free and loose in composition. When I start a new painting, I have a sense of what I want to paint, but I never know where it will lead me. It’s great fun.“
In addition to contemporary art, Roxanne does animal portraiture in colored pencils and in oils. “It gives me great pleasure to capture the essence and expression of my client’s pets. It’s all on a personal level.”
