| Pat LaBrecque was born in Littleton and grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire. In her youth she spent summers with her family in North Woodstock and at Silver Lake in Lochmere. Her grandfather, Wilfred Curtis, was a great outdoorsman. From him and others, especially her mother, Dorothy, she acquired a love of the woods and wildlife. Lasting memories of her early years impact her painting choices today.
After 20 years of farming and stewardship of the land, rural country life continues to influence her painitng. No longer a farmer, she still visits farms and enjoys painting farm subjects. She paints in plein air and in her studio in Goffstown where she lives with her husband, Dennis, a sculptor and Miss Kitty.
